note: Hanes brand position took somewhat of a dive when they they abandoned their initial tagline tagline “Wait’ll we get our Hanes on you.” In a moment of insight the tried to bring it back with a twist changing it to “Look who we’ve got our Hanes on now.” This tagline has yet to be as effect as their original because I detracts from addresses the consumer (you) and the double entendre of referencing their old tagline makes it all too complicated, especially for those consumers who aren’t familiar enough with the brand.
